Over the past few weeks I’ve been thinking about compiling a series of ‘Top 10’ lists aimed mainly at those lucky couples out there who are planning their special day. Today’s blog post will be the first of these.
The exciting thing about being a wedding photographer is that we get to see all the planning and hard work come together over and over again. Although we are based in Cheltenham, we get to see a huge variety of venues as we travel across the country, so this paired with theme selections, indoor decorations, stationary etc can lead to an entirely unique day. As I’ve mentioned in my previous posts, every detail counts…especially when it comes to photographs!
So how does the first dance song choice make any difference what-so-ever to the pictures that I’m taking? Well believe it or not it can seriously change the character of the image. We try to reflect a the events of the wedding day as accurately as possible with our photography, so choices like this can really help to bring out our client’s personalities.
Over the last few months, we’ve seen a completely unique series of first dance songs, so in no particular order I’ve compiled a list of my 10 favourite choices from seriously cheesy to almost unheard-of obscurity. Here is the first 5…let me know what you think!
1. Thinking Out Loud – Ed Sheeran
2. First Day of My Life – Bright Eyes
3. Feels Like Home – Chantal Kreviazuk
4. A Thousand Years – Christina Perri
5. Marry Me – Train
