What a month we’ve had! The life of a wedding photographer is always hard work, but immensely rewarding and the last few weeks have been a testament to the latter part of that as they’ve been truly awesome. After Rebecca and James’ Manor by the Lake wedding at the end of April, we were off to Ellenborough Park in Cheltenham, shortly followed by Tewkesbury Abbey, Sudbury House Hotel and several other fantastic locations. We’ve been spoilt with the weather also lately which has set the scene for some brilliant weddings.
Mid-May brought us to Ellenborough Park for Shelley and Lewis’ special day. We kicked it off with a short bridal prep session before heading straight into the ceremony on site. The ceremony room was decorated beautifully with flower petals lining the aisle. Once Shelley and Lewis had made their vows the guests were all treated to drinks in the gardens of the hotel. After taking some group shots and a capturing a few reportage moments of everyone interacting we headed inside for the wedding breakfast. All the formalities were taken care of by Howard Jones (http://www.british-toastmaster.co.uk/), an excellent Master of Ceremonies lending a helping in keeping the events running to schedule. As the evening approached we made our way outside and explored the grounds to capture some couple shots before the dancing got started. My personal favourite of these was the a silhouette (see the images below); when you’ve got a veil like that to work with you can’t go wrong!
I’ve selected a small handful of my favourite shots from the day, take a look below.
