A few weeks back we photographed a wedding for Leanne and Mark, and safe to say while I think they enjoyed themselves, we had a great time too. Leanne and Mark seemed to be having a lot of fun throughout the day and we aimed to capture this as best we could. There were a couple of themes for this particular wedding, one being peacock feathers and the other being marvel comics. I must confess to being a bit of a fan of the recent comic-book inspired films. I like to think of myself as the Peter Parker of the wedding world; capturing the events as they unfold into one big story…(only without the web-slinging, roof-jumping and bad-guy-battering abilities of Spiderman…)
The first part of the day was set in the lovely town of Painswick with the bridal prep and church both within walking distance. After meeting Leanne and the bridesmaids for some preparation shots we then moved on to meet the groomsmen at a pub just opposite the church. Mike stayed there to capture the guests arriving and I headed back to photograph Leanne leaving for the church. The ceremony was brought to an upbeat close with Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’ and so the celebrations began!
The day left us all with one big tip for the groomsmen out there. I’m sure you’ve all been nervously wondering ‘what on earth will I do if I forget the handkerchief for my top pocket before I meet my future wife at the alter?!’……well here was Mark’s solution!
