After a fairly busy couple of weeks with weddings we had the opportunity to meet up with Laura and Ryan for their engagement shoot the other day. We met up with the two of them on what turned out to be a very cold, very windy, very grey Sunday afternoon. It was a small window of opportunity that we had to work with, as driving back home about 30 minutes after meeting with them the rain started setting in! Fortunately, as long as it stays dry, we photographers don’t really mind clouds. They actually act as a giant softbox, which for any non-photographers out there means that they produce quite nice light – not too harsh, but still giving us some shadows to work with. Being conscious of the cold we were aiming to get the shots done slightly quicker than normal as it can get quite chilly for the couple when there’s not a huge amount of walking involved.
We came away with a good handful of shots to process, and that afternoon I set about uploading the pictures and getting the edits ready. Take a look at a few of the results below; we’ll be back with Laura and Ryan for a wedding shoot in March so watch this space for another post!
