In my previous post I uploaded a few shots from a recent engagement session with Jessie and Anne. Less than a week after taking those pictures we were back with them again for their wedding day. Safe to say I’ve had a brilliant few days since then editing around 360 of their pictures; processing photographs is immensely enjoyable especially when they are pictures that I am genuinely pleased with and actually quite passionate about.
We met with Jessie before the ceremony and got a few shots of him getting ready before going to meet Anne for a collection of pictures with her. They were both incredibly calm and composed, but there was that special kind of vibe that we get when we know it’s going to be a great day of photography. The whole day took place in one venue so there was no need to move from one location to another, which gave us an opportunity to get a good selection of shots while the guests arrived. The registrar was fantastic and very clear on where she would allow us to take pictures from in the ceremony, which always makes our life much easier! After what was a really beautiful ceremony, we headed outside for some group pictures and then on to the wedding breakfast. The speeches were second to none being both truly heartfelt and hilarious in equal measures. We had around 15 minutes after the cutting of the cake with Jessie and Anne for some couple shots and so we headed out to a patch of greenery just behind the venue. The evening reception began a little later and with it came some excellent dance moves from certain members of the wedding party…!
It was a day full of emotion for the friends and family of the bride and groom and, as one of Jessie and Anne’s music selections (‘From This Moment On’) suggested, a life changing moment for the two of them.
