Over the weekend we met up with Jessie and Anne ahead of their upcoming wedding for an engagement shoot in a local park. Much like Katie and Liam the weekend before, we were aiming to capture a set of photographs with some rich Autumnal colours as a backdrop. Despite meeting at 12:00 and expecting some fairly harsh midday light, a few clouds overhead granted us a really nice quality of light to work with. We don’t tend to work in studios very much, and that comes with some pros and cons. We end up being quite weather dependent, which can be tricky, but aside from this I always feel like the light, colours and scenery are much more pleasing for our style of photography. Whilst I would never call studio work manufactured, I believe that outdoor shoots like this one have a much more natural look to them.
Jessie and Anne were great for the session, and we’re really looking forward to their wedding! Watch this space for shots from their big day in part 2.
