There were so many brilliant weddings that we were fortunate enough to photograph last year, some closer to home in Cheltenham and others…not so close to home. This one was the latter, and is probably the furthest we’ve travelled for a wedding. Having said that, if you’re getting married in the Caribbean I’d be more than happy to make it a new record for the furthest wedding!
This was a three day excursion, we headed over on the Friday to check out the venues and figure out where everything was happening, then the wedding happened on Saturday and we came back on the Sunday. On the day of the wedding I went to meet with the bride for bridal preparation while Mike met the groom and groomsmen before the ceremony. A few reportage shots later and we had all converged at the church for the ceremony. Next up was the marquee reception, and fortunately the weather was absolutely perfect for this. After some emotional (and very funny) speeches, the evening kicked-off and I started roaming the dance floor to grab some pictures for what is becoming one of my favourite parts of the day.
We had a great day, and would happily travel so far again for such a fun wedding! Take a look at a small selection of shots below.
